Blogger, Dreamer, Movement Leader.
I am a 25 year old Jersey Girl turned Texas transplant since moving for college in 2017. At Baylor University I earned my bachelor’s degree in sociology and my master’s in communications. Even though talking is my preference over writing, I believe this blog is step one in my plan to live a more fulfilling life. In my free time I love watching football #GoBirds #SicEmBears, walking in the park, and going to happy hour.
Now that I’m pushing myself to dream bigger I think it’s only fair that I share some of my dreams with ya’ll. I started this blog to gain a following that will allow me to start public speaking. In the future, I would love to speak at highschools or colleges to help answer questions about life after graduation.
Ultimately, my dream is to remind people that YOU have to decide what YOU want to do with YOUR LIFE.
Another dream of mine is to be a landlord in a college town. This would be an opportunity to help students that can’t afford the ridiculous rent prices. Of course I also dream of traveling, quitting my traditional job, and starting a family one day.
Let’s Dive Deeper
Why did you decide to start a blog? Since I was in middle school I can remember spending nights writing in my journal. Sometimes journal entries were recollections of my day. Other times I was coming up with extraordinary answers to the most thought provoking questions. As I got older, I journaled less and started Googling more. Thinking back to my inner child is what inspired me to start a blog. This seems like a great opportunity to answer common questions we all end up asking our search engine. Above all, my dream is to become a public speaker so a blog seemed like the logical first step.
How Did You Decide Your Blog’s Niche?
When deciding what niche I wanted for the blog I literally wrote down ideas every day for one week. After the week was over I read everything and expanded on the ideas that seemed promising before I landed on this. This being a life optimization tips blog for recent college graduates. I’ve further specified my optimization tips by categories- current students, graduates, fellow bloggers, and general motivation.
What Do You Fear About Dreaming Bigger?
My greatest fear in this journey to dream bigger is that I will continue to feel dissatisfied after achieving my goals. On the home page, I described how it felt lame to accomplish the generic goals of graduating from college and starting a career. While I am not ungrateful of my past accomplishments I am fearful that I will have the same lackluster emotion after securing the big dream. Lucky for me, fear won’t stop me from trying. I am excited to see where this journey takes me!
